Vandersteen quatro wood ct

Vandersteen Audio introduces the Quatro Wood CT, the latest evolution in speaker technology and sound quality to derive from the research & development efforts that delivered the patented carbon-fiber Perfect-Piston drivers used in the flagship Model 7. While the Perfect-Piston Tweeter used in the Model 7 is the fully embodied deal of high-frequency purity and resolution, the Quatro Wood CT (Carbon Tweeter) features the superb Carbon Tweeter from the renowned Model 5A Carbon.

Like all Vandersteen speakers, the Quatro Wood CT is a time and phase-correct loudspeaker, made in the USA. Because such great demands are placed on the drivers in Vandersteen’s first-order speaker designs, all of the Quatro Wood CT’s drivers are the kind of highly advanced transducers typically found in cost-no-object designs. The Quatro Wood CT also provides much of the performance and versatility of Vandersteen’s top-end powered bass speakers in an attractive and compact form factor.

All of this technology allows the Quatro Wood CT to offer the kind of exceptional resolution, imaging, and natural musicality Vandersteens are known for, with deep and powerful yet tuneful bass, virtually anywhere in any room.

Vandersteen treo ct

The Vandersteen Audio speaker lineup continues to evolve due to the research & development efforts that delivered the patented carbon-fiber Perfect-Piston drivers used in the flagship Model Seven. Vandersteen's Treo loudspeaker is now available in an optional Treo CT version (Carbon Tweeter). The Treo CT delivers a surprising amount of the air, space, and natural purity previously heard only in Vandersteen's top speaker models: the Quatro Wood CT, KĒNTO, and the Model Seven.

The Treo is a time- and phase-correct full-range loudspeaker. Because such great demands are placed on the drivers in Vandersteen’s first-order speaker designs, the Treo’s drivers are the kind of highly advanced transducers typically found in cost-no-object designs. The impedance-compensated crossovers are ultra high-performance designs featuring extreme-quality parts, and individually tuned in an anechoic chamber. Vandersteen’s Minimum Baffle enclosures ensure maximum rigidity, free of time-smearing reflections and diffraction. All of this technology allows the Treos to offer the kind of exceptional resolution, imaging and natural musicality Vandersteens are known for.

VPI 40th anniversary turntable

Designing VPI's Next Generation Direct Drive Motor Technology on Display at the Leesburg Listening Room

Harry Weisfeld's 2012 CLASSIC DIRECT direct drive turntable was an outstanding technical achievement, earning Stereophile Magazine's Class A+ rating. This award-winning table was loosely based on the VPI Classic Series table technology and included a thick aluminum plinth and armboard and an inverted platter bearing riding on a PEEK thrust disc. Combined with a cutting-edge BLDC direct drive motor, the CLASSIC DIRECT was created. The Classic Direct provided a stable, solid foundation for the music, allowing the listener to hear deeply into the recorded grooves to the treasures buried with-in!

Designing a new turntable to celebrate VPI's 40th anniversary provided VPI an opportunity to update the direct drive motor technology to incorporate advances in motion control and materials technologies.

The Leesburg Listening Room is proud to have the HW-40 in our demonstration room for your convenience. There will be a limited edition version limited to 400 turntables featuring wooden side panels and the Fatboy Anniversary Tonearm so act now.
